Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer (QA Automation), with deep technical expertise, ownership mindset, and a passion for scalable quality system. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation across backend, frontend, mobile, and AI/ML systems
• Drive qualitative testing via visual regression and UI consistency
• Maintain, implement and optimize test frameworks for backend, frontend, mobile and AI/ML systems
• Own data QA, focusing on validations, anomaly detection, and data lineage tracking
• Champion best practices around version control, CI/CD integration, and cloud-first testing approaches
• Contribute to QA process for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency across testing processes
• Strong analytical skills and strong decisions with outcome oriented mindset (not just output)

Engineering & Collaboration‍

• Strong manual and automation testing, communication, documentation
• Contribute to the culture of empowerment, ownership, and accountability
• Collaborate with EM (QA) to maintain, implement and optimize QA metrics, dashboards
• Collaborate with EM (Backend), EM (Frontend), Mobile lead, AI/ML lead, Design, Product, Sales & Marketing
• Document test architecture and decision records for reproducibility and onboarding
• Stay ahead of the curve by continuously exploring new tools, technologies, and processes and by contributing directly to hands-on research, testing, and coding where needed
• Contribute to cultivate and maintain an A+ product-driven engineering culture at Veel, grounded in innovation, technical excellence, collaboration, and a relentless focus on delivering value to users

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in mobile QA automation
• Strong foundation in QA automation principles and practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Highly motivated, curious, and driven to take ownership and lead initiatives
• Strategic mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Deep understanding of business objectives, customer needs, and evolving market trends
